How to use this tool
Choose an image
Add a JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF or self-contained SVG file up to 20 MB. Your image opens in the visual editor and stays on your device.
Frame it, then size it
Drag the crop handles to choose what to keep, or leave the full image selected. Move the selection to adjust the framing, then set your output width and height in pixels.
Download your image
Choose JPG, PNG or WebP and resize. Only the selected area is exported at your chosen dimensions. Your original file stays unchanged.
Cropping and resizing: two ways to find the right fit
Cropping removes the edges you do not want; resizing changes the pixel dimensions of what you keep. Use the draggable selection to crop, with free framing or a preset aspect ratio. To resize the whole image without cutting anything off, keep the full image selected. Lock the output proportions to avoid stretching faces, logos and other subjects. Smaller dimensions can reduce file size. Enlarging an image adds pixels, but cannot recover missing detail.
Frequently asked questions
How do I crop an image by dragging?
Drag a corner or edge of the selection to adjust the area you want to keep. Drag inside the selection to move it. Choose Free for any shape, Original to keep the source proportions, or a 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9 crop preset. The area outside your selection is left out of the download.
Can I resize the whole image without cropping?
Yes. Keep the full image selected, or reset the selection after cropping, then enter your output width or height. Leave the output proportions locked to resize without stretching. Changing the output dimensions scales the selected image area; dragging the crop handles changes which part is included.
Can I enter an exact width and height?
Yes. You can unlock the output proportions and enter both dimensions independently, but this may stretch the selected area. For an undistorted result, choose a crop with the same proportions as your desired output, then resize with the proportions locked.
What image sizes are supported?
Input files must be 20 MB or smaller. Both input and output images are limited to 8,192 pixels per side and 24 million pixels in total to keep browser memory use manageable. Available memory may impose a lower practical limit on your device.
Will resizing preserve image metadata?
No. The new image is rendered by your browser and original metadata is not preserved. Animated inputs become a single still image. Check the downloaded file before using it in a color-critical workflow.
Can I resize HEIC, AVIF and SVG images?
Yes. HEIC/HEIF photos are decoded on your device, AVIF opens when your browser supports it, and static self-contained SVG is rasterized before editing. Save your resized image as JPG, PNG or WebP; the original input format is not available as an output for these files.
