How to use this tool
Choose your image
Select a JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF or self-contained SVG from your device, or drop it into the workspace. Files can be up to 20 MB.
Pick a format
Use JPG for photographs, PNG for transparent graphics, WebP for web images, or ICO for a square icon. JPG and WebP offer adjustable quality.
Save your new image
Convert the image, check the output size and download it. Your original file stays unchanged.
Which image format should you choose?
JPG is a practical choice for photographs and broad compatibility. PNG preserves sharp edges and transparent backgrounds, but photographic images can be larger. WebP supports transparency and adjustable quality, making it useful for web images. Converting a low-quality image cannot recover detail that is already missing.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Image processing happens in your browser on your device. This tool does not upload your selected image to Toolzorix.
What happens to a transparent background?
PNG and WebP can retain transparency. JPG does not support it, so transparent areas are filled with white when you export to JPG.
Can I convert HEIC, AVIF and SVG images?
Yes. HEIC and HEIF photos are decoded on your device. AVIF needs a browser that can decode it. SVG must be static and self-contained; it is rasterized into pixels. These formats are accepted as inputs, with JPG, PNG, WebP or ICO available for download. GIF is not supported.
Does the conversion keep animation and metadata?
No. Downloads contain a single still image and do not retain the original metadata. Animated PNG or WebP becomes one still image. HEIC collections use one image; animated HEIF and AVIF sequences are not supported. Check the result if exact colors or orientation matter to your work.
What kind of ICO file can I make?
Choose a square size from 16 to 256 pixels. The image is fitted inside that square with transparent padding, preserving its proportions. The download contains one PNG-compressed icon image for modern software, rather than multiple sizes in the same file.
