How to use this tool

  1. Open your image

Choose a JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF or self-contained SVG file up to 20 MB, or drop it into the editor. The full image is selected to start.

  2. Find your frame

Drag a corner or edge to adjust the crop, then drag inside to position it. Use Free for a custom shape, Original for the source proportions, or choose 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9.

  3. Preview and download

Check the live preview and selected pixel dimensions. Choose JPG, PNG or WebP, then crop and download your image.

A better composition, without resizing

Cropping removes the outer parts of a picture so the subject fills the frame. Use it to trim screenshot margins, remove empty space around a product, or turn a wide photo into a square. This cropper keeps the selected area's pixel dimensions: a 600 × 400 pixel selection produces a 600 × 400 pixel image, without enlarging or shrinking it. If you need a specific output size after cropping, use the image resizer. Exporting creates a newly encoded file, so file size and image quality can change with the format and quality setting.

Frequently asked questions

How do I crop an image online?

Open your image, drag the selection handles to mark the area you want to keep, and move the selection until the framing looks right. The live preview shows what will be included. Choose Crop image, then download the result. Reset crop restores the full image selection.

Can I make a square or widescreen crop?

Yes. Choose 1:1 for a square, 4:3 for a landscape frame, or 16:9 for a widescreen shape. Original locks the selection to your source image's proportions. Free lets you adjust width and height independently. Presets set proportions, not a fixed number of pixels.

Can I crop using a keyboard or a phone?

Yes. On a touchscreen, drag the handles to change the selection and drag inside it to move the frame. With a keyboard, press Tab to focus the selection or a handle, then use the arrow keys. Hold Shift with an arrow key for larger adjustments.

Does cropping resize my image or reduce its quality?

Cropping changes the image dimensions by removing pixels outside your selection. It does not scale the retained area. The download is newly encoded: JPG and WebP quality settings can introduce detail loss, while PNG uses lossless encoding. Cropping cannot restore detail that was missing from the original.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The crop editor and export run in your browser on your device. Toolzorix does not upload your selected image, and no account is needed. The downloaded crop is a separate file; your original stays unchanged.

Which formats and image sizes can I crop?

Open JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF or static self-contained SVG and export JPG, PNG or WebP. AVIF decoding depends on your browser. Files must be 20 MB or smaller, with no side above 8,192 pixels and no more than 24 million pixels in total. Available device memory may impose a lower practical limit. GIF is not supported.

Will transparency, animation and metadata be preserved?

PNG and WebP output can keep transparent areas. JPG fills transparency with white. Animated PNG or WebP inputs become a single still image, and original metadata is not retained. Check the exported file before using it for work where exact color matters.
